What is Baja SAE?

Baja SAE is an intercollegiate competition, sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers, where students design, build, test, and race an off-road vehicle.  National competitions are held every summer, where teams from every state and countries around the world put their vehicle through rigorous events.  The CWRU Baja team first competed in 2001 and has since competed at nine national Baja SAE competitions.

How do I join?

Just show up! We meet from 4 to 7 every Tuesday and Thursday and 11 to 3 on Saturday in Reinberger Design Studio (Glennan 821) or the Bingham Student Workshop (Bingham 003) depending on the time of year.

No experience is required to join the Baja Team, we can teach you anything you need to know to be an integral member of the team. Even if you are interested in the project, but don't like hands-on machining, there are reports to be written, design work to be done and lots of testing, electrical work, etc.

If you want to know how you can help, email one of the team captains (Jacob Rhodes or CJ Valle), either of them would be willing to help you find your place on the Baja team.

To join the Baja-SAE mailing list, go to lists.case.edu and login with your Case ID and Password then find the baja-sae list (baja-sae@case.edu) or email the Mailing List Manager
